This has been a great little light in every way .Very small ,superb knurling,nice clip ,sweet tint ....not talked about lately .
#2 N-light B-3 an offering from RIC at cqg / china quality goods .(now fancyflashlights ??) Having bought many of the n-lights I was enamoured with the b2S (now unavailable) because it was so stinking bright on a 14500 ...these stainless steel beauties are sexy and deserve some more attention..Old4570 was a huge fanboy of the B3 AAA Stainless steel light so I continued to focus more on the AA version BUT ..the B3 in a neutral tint 2 mode with a nice little clip is a wonderful little light that seems to have been passed over by many. Zebralight H51/H31/H501-Two lights I bought used for about half price .I figured i could try them and maybe sell one to make the other one even cheaper ,BUT I can't bring myself to get rid of either one .Not being a headlamp guy these lights had a serious challenge to win me over already ...They are agame changer /They are really that good ..One of those kind of items that universally "No one doesn't like a zebralight " they will win over the most skeptical flashaholic ...if you don't have one ...Get one !!! The first and second lights are actually very good, while I use the 3rd flashlight to mod into aspherical lens before, but now I am going to mod it with 5*Q5 drop-in.
That Eastward J09 looks pretty nice. The UI is enticing. How low is the low? I have been watching the Zebralights for a long time trying to justify their price.
I can think of one off the top of my head. The Romisen-RCA8. It's kind of a weird looking light. I've always thought it was very unique and felt great in hand. Great build quality and a nice even beam. I have since lost it and have kind of lost interest in CR123A lights. Undoubtedly the toughest flashlight I've ever owned. Literally built like a tank and very reliable. Glass lens, OP reflector, 2xAA, pocket clip, rear momentary on + twisty, and regulated to boot. Pretty bright by yesterday's standards. I've seen this exact model being sold under different brands so I don't know about those but mine is a Rayovac. Not really a budget light with what you can get these days, but still worthy of mention.
I'm sorry I can't list three. I don't own a lot of lights and I usually go for the well-known recommended stuff from BLFers.
Not having any flashlights that are talked a lot about means you either buy without reading up first, or you are the serial flashaholic that cannot help but buy everything that is flashlights and ticks at least some boxes.
I think the H51 does get talked about a lot. I agree with your favorable comments however.
For me it's the Proton Pro. Maybe it did get talked about a lot when it was new but I didn't buy it in those days. I think it's just an exceptional light.
For me it is mainly one that gets over looked or not talked about much these days the TR-1200. It has been brought up recently but its never given to much credit or is past over by people chase lux figures. Shame as it has Great throw, good spill, long run times, easy to find replacment parts mines been a good relible light for almost 12 months, the best gift i was ever given. Ive hammered mine so much ive rebuilt it with another host due to it was pritty banged up and scratched from use. The other that does not get talked about much is the Trustfire A8 awsome light, nice looking comes in a good package deal but because of this it seams the price is to high for most and i guess its still pretty new. My 3rd on to mention is not realy a flash light, but worth mentioning a uv light, they are fun as for checking for bodily fluid in hotel rooms and so on i thought they would be talked about more and since you can check currency with them on papper notes, in Australia our money is plastic with no water marks but still worth having one, even if mine get hardly used and some times after using a uv light in a hotel room you might not want to sleep in the bed lols i guess some times your better off not knowing.
