Thermal Compound at Intl-Outdoor

I received my drop-in the other day and I used this thermal compound tape stuff that came with it. It seems to work but are we sure it is better than foil? Is there a better/different name for it ? I can get it a the local Radio Shack or Home DEPOT?

I would like to put it on my other drop-ins, If it is better

It's not better. Use foil if you have it available.
