Fenix TK70

As you guys know, I got the Fenix TK70 Sat. I didn't really take the time to take any great pictures, so I thought I would do so here. I will admit this light is pretty dang big. Bigger than I thought it would be. And it isn't light. But I don't plan on packing it much. I bought it for the "Wow" factor. And it definately does that. I'll try and get some beamshots later on. But all in all I really like the light. It definately will throw and light up my yard like no other XM-L flashlight I have. It will operate on 3 or 4 D cell NIMH batteries. I'm using the 4 Tenergy 10,000MAH batteries.

Here's a few more. Why this forum does that and don't let you continue to post more pictures under the same post is beyond me.

I'm not sure what you mean. You can post as many pictures as you want in one post. Seems like a pretty sick light though.

Thanks. I may have messed it up. But this forum does that like know other to me when it comes to posting pictures. Another thing I noticed I have to use the insert image box to post pictures rather than just copying the image tag at photobucket.com and pasting it here. The last time I tried doing that it wouldn't post the picture. Maybe admin can look into this.

The reason you can't use the image code from photobucket is because this forum software uses a different format for that.

You can always use the 'HTML'-Button in the upper row and insert the html-code you get from photobucket.

Thanks. To anyone seeing this you need to use the html code, not the image code. :)

Fenix TK70 350yds on high mode only(all I had was cheap alkalines at the time this picture was taken). It's a little blurry.

TK70 350yds, TK70 350yds

First you have to click the "edit html source" button. :P

It worked!

Yea but it's no faster than doing it the other way. It would be nice if I could just do a copy and paste of image tag. This is the only forum I know of that won't allow it.

True, I agree it isn't perfect. But, it does work.

I think on high mode it's like 900 lumens.

I sent you a pm earlier about the TK70. Go read it.

Like I said in another post: Get the Tenergy 5000 Mah sub-c's, take off the rear extension, make up some kind of sleeve to adapt the battery diameter so nothing will rattle and you will cut down on length and weight.

You have to use four cells or you won't get turbo. And alkalines? Fugeddaboutit!

Make sure you order the cells with tabs as they are flattops. You can bend the tabs over on themselves so they'll make contact and you won't have to mess with solder blobs.

That things almost as big as a 747, holy crap.

Here's some beamshots. Nite mode(SP2) setting on my camera Take it for what it is it may be a little brighter in the picture than what it really is. But manual setting did not do it justice either. This is pretty damn close to what I see.

Fenix TK70 350yds on turbo Camera was on about 9x.

Fenix TK70 220yds on turbo

Fenix TK70 60yds on turbo

Fenix TK70 70yds to the pole on turbo

On that last photo, you can see just how well it lights up my backyard.

Great pictures!!! That lights up the whole back yard.. Thanks for the pictures.

350yards... Wow
