Wife and I were shopping in Orange, Ca today, well she was doing most of the shopping at local antique stores. I was lucky enough to see an Army/Navy store across the street, where I wasted some time (and money) while she looked at old stuff people had thrown out...
The owner of the store had a decent display of Streamfire and Surefire flashlights, in fact some of them looked like clones of the yellow P1 (right ).
I did take a moment and tell him he would get rich if he got on this forum and checked out the Chinese stuff that will blow away the Streamlights and Surefires for 1/3 the price. He said he would check it out, we'll see.
But meantime, I could not resist buying some ammo he had. Gotta be prepared for the coming zombie apocalypse. So I bought a box of 9mm, note the nice green stuff in the center of the bullet. He let me know that with zombies, you need to aim for the head; not wimpy 2-to-the-chest, 1-to-the head stuff when you are dealing with the walking dead.
Those are real nice rounds. Same as their personal defense line but in green instead of yellow. Some of the best rounds you can carry. I like Federal Hydrashok a little better though.
Desert Eagle 50AE keeps my Zombies at bay. I thought that it would be rude, crude, and socially unacceptable, but it is a damn nice gun. Best. Trigger. Ever. (except for my Colt .45 National Match)
Ooooo, years ago I had a Colt Nat'l Match .45, I think I paid $380 for it brand new. Sold it a couple years later for $500 and thought I made a killing on it...duh...
Yeaaah, the Colt trigger is mentally controlled. All you have to do is think BLAM and it goes BLAM. Big hunk o' lead goes where you want it to. I think I paid $700 for mine. Have passed on offers twice that.
The Desert Eagle has a nice Crimson Trace laser so the zombies know who's next... I wish I had some sub-sonic rounds for the thing. It keeps waking the dead, and before you know it, more freakin' zombies... it's a never ending circle.
