Ultrafire uf 980 vs. hd 2010? HELP ME DECIDE!

I'm trying to decide between the Ultrafire uf 980 and the hd 2010. The requirements that I'm basing my deciscion upon is just plane AWESOMENESS. Are these pretty much the same or are there any significant differences. Please help.

HD2010 is a thrower, I think the 980L is more floody.

the 980l might have a bigger hotspot but there's no way it could be described as a flooder..

I heard there both pretty bright. Anything else comparable?

Ok, I don’t have one. I do have the HD2010 and it is very nice.

yeah it does look nice..I want one..the hd2010 looks to have a bigger reflector so probably a tighter spot..the 980l is a thrower but the spot isn't that tight..

Not sure how comparable it is but I have a trustfire t1 that is a great thrower.

Hey Bose is it worth the money or would you put your money elsewhere?

romisen t601, keygos ke-5 are both tighter beams than my 980l..and they are just slightly larger..length wise..

I think it’s worth the money, well built and just feels right in your hand.

Hows the heat sinking on these bad boys`?

Buy both!

I heard the 980 gets hot, how about your other recommendations?

Would love too. But Im thinking there to similar.

yeah my 980l is driven at 4.6a, keygos is 4.9a..anything at that current will get hot..my t601 has a 3a driver in it and it's great.same driver is going into the keygos..if you want tight and bright the keygos beats out both my t601 and 980l..

edit..some keygos aren't driven hard though so it's a crap shoot..i got mine through go_market..

Thanks, thats helpful and I'll check it out.

no problem man..all those lights are good buys..can't go wrong with any of them..

You got that right. My KE5 is the weakest, least bright XM-L I have. :(

Don't feel bad I had to buy 4 to finally find a great one.....ILIKEFLASHLIGHTS told me how bright his was and it just pissed me off that they didn't use the same parts in each one of their KE-5 sure would of saved me some money.....

Get the HD2010 for sure. That high lux and super hotspot is not only amazingly useful, but brighter than my 980L and less "angry blue." It's a white bright powerhouse. The 980L is not a thrower, but very, very bright, but the beam is less useful than a full-on thrower. Aside from a tailswitch issue which is being fixed, it's the second furthest throwing light I own (the first being the UF-V2 Uniquefire). Both are superb, but that deep blue of so many high-lumen lights isn't my thing.
