TK70 Beam Shots

Troops going to be proud of me. This was taken on the manual settings that Troop told me to try with my camera. Shutter speed was 3 and focal was 2.8. That 2 sec timer trick worked great. Thanks Troop.

Control shot approx 60yds

Going to take some more.

Nice job, you're starting to get there! I think the beam from that photon cannon of yours probably looks a little brighter than that at 180 ft. You zoomed out a bit with the lens so that dropped your Aperture to f4.0 (that is normal for a zoom lens). Your "3" setting is 1/3 of a second, I bet you will like the results you get at 2 (1/2 second) or the next longer setting after that.

See what I mean about it being a tricky job? But it is rewarding when everything comes together, keep playing around with it!

Bet that TK would stop a deer or a coyote in its tracks if you lit him up with it.

Thanks Troop. Yea I had it on 9X zoom which is the halway point. I had it originally on 2.8 but it went to 4 as you said. So thanks for correcting me.

Here's where the same settings undercuts the light.

Control shot at 110yds same settings as above shutter spped 3 and focal 4.

Fenix TK70 110yds and same manual settings as control shot above.

150yds control shot same manual settings as above

Fenix TK70 on turbo 150yds

Ok let's try these.

I think this is more like it.

Fenix TK70 110yds manual setting shutter speed 1.6 and focal 4

Same shot and settings above but aimed up above pool at 200yds

And here's the same settings at 350yds

Great effort there ILF, your pool shots are great for comparing the results with the poles as guides. How does the TK70 stack up to your M3X/7G5?

Great job Brad... and Thanks for the help troop!

I would say the M3x and 7G5 would about hang with it.

Wow that's impressive then for the single emitter lights. I've always wanted the TK70 tho. Great collection you have.
