How can you tell?

The weight suggests it is not stainless. L2t is 320gm not 94 as a weight comparison

Price suggests it is not stainless. Pictures suggest it isn't

Does sf sell a stainless L2?

SF had a limited amount of stainless steel L2s a few years ago.

Why is it fake?: first the price, SF did not had the lanyard holes in the tailcap; I guess it is a rebranded xxxfire, you will probably not get stainless steel but alloy

This is the only genuine Solarforce Stainless Steel Flashlight host currently available as far as I know. Wish I could afford it but will save my pennies to buy this beauty some time soon.

Every L2, which is a limited edition has a serial number.

Take a look at the switch - it's different, too.

Nice detective work! Two grooves/rings on the SF tailcap is the giveaway.
