A sign of the impending apocalypse...DD 8 day shipping to the central US

After reading the thread about the Tank007 E09 last week, I ordered the brown/gray version...that was on the 23rd. It showed up today, the 31st...that's amazing. Do they have a US warehouse? In any case, what an amazing bargain this light is for $12...but this isn't news to anyone but myself apparently. I can't get over how nice it is. Do yourself a favor and order one...come on, tomorrow is Friday...live big!

8 days has to be a world record. !

Took 25 days to process my order. Yes 25 days. How long will it take to arrive?

That's terrible...I'm feeling pretty lucky

lol

is it your first E09 ever?? :)

It is a really nice light except for the PWM and it really needs a clip. I couldn't believe it either when I got the black one a few months ago. I just bought a gray one and the status was shipped 2 days later. That would be great if mine showed up next week, but I'm not counting on it.

I'm tempted to buy more, but I already gave a lot of people the iTP A3, so nobody I know really needs an E09.

Hi Ted, i've removed the clip of my iTP A3. flimsy clip, cant be clipped to the thick brim of a baseball cap, and most of all: on a key chain light i dont want a clip. Adds bulk to it. Few 1xAAA tiny lights come with a clip. So you dont carry your E09 on the keychain? With the (extremely sturdy) LD01 pocket clip (1.50$ fenixgear.com) it could be clipped to a shirt pocket, trouser pocket, or baseball cap, either bezel up or down, true but i carry mine with the bunch of keys.

Seeing it positive, the PWM doesnt produce any tint shift as seen in other torches (shift to greenishness on LD01 R4, Worm SS 2012, Quark and other current-regulated lights).

Will get a new E09 soon too!!

Yes....and you always remember your first

It's a great light. Amazing on a even just a AAA NiMH battery, so those are more quibbles than complaints. PWM is just a setting in the microchip, so how hard is it for them to use a higher number? iTP did it after the first generation. I don't have a clip on my A3 either since it is on my keychain. Maybe I'll put the Tank on the keychain and put the clip back on the A3 for hat use. Except by now the A3 is pretty scraped up from keychain duty. No reason for a $12 light to be a shelf queen though.

Oh no, the end is near :O and there are so much China gadgets that I haven't bought yet....

there is no whine on 10440's but the Tank implemented circuit parts are such that on Eneloops one would hear high-pitched whine on 1 or 2 modes (TV's and other electronic devices have that too!). in an effort to minimize the whine the engineers maintain this particular PWM frequency. I use 10440's so i dont hear any whine. (they could use a higher number but it would increase the whine). The clip of the A3 does not (really) work for baseball cap use. The hat brim doesnt fit into the narrow space of the clipping part. With the LD01 clip there is enough room for a thick brim; works beautifully in fact. (The A3 clip is too flimsy anyway imho.)

Price of the E09 V3 has increased to list price 22.99US$.

@Vectrex, you still resist the green dinos and the 6$ (after discounts) E09 light? lol

You'd better order a lifetime supply of pig lights NOW...and use the discount coupon from DD :)

Who was it that got 100 pig lights when they were on sale?

BTW, those of us who believe in the impending apocalypse, but also believe we will survive and get through it, now have a name

Apocaloptimists.

Apocaloptimists, I like it. Earlier this year the USPS /EMS tracking started showing a lot more detailed info. I have been surprised at how fast things actually get here from China. Most of the time it only takes two or three days to get to the U.S. once it is actually shipped. This is different than when the vendor tells you it was shipped. Most of my orders usually spend as much time ,or more, in customs as they do in transit from China.
