Here's a shootout of single XML lights in various reflectors. Camera settings were the same for all the outdoor shots. Likewise, all indoor shots shared a single setting.
Outdoor shots were 60ft from light to target (fence), 72ft from camera to target. Outdoor camera settings were F/3.5, 1/3 sec, ISO-200, white balance = 5200K, focal length 24mm.
Indoor shots were 8ft from light to off-white wall, 10.5ft from camera to wall. Indoor camera settings were F/13, 1/10 sec, ISO-200, white balance = 5200K, focal length 32mm.
Unfortunately, the indoor camera settings were calibrated using the weakest of the lights, making it difficult to appreciate the difference among the higher lux hotspots which are all overexposed at these settings.
