It just arrived, to be honest I only picked one up out of curiosity due to so many good reviews and feedback on it. Awesome output and throw (as promised it is further than my BC40). However I have no need for it and still can’t agree with tight/SMO reflector beam patterns.
I paid $27.21 after discount +$6.75 USPS shipping to the UK. For a total of around £22 after paypal conversion etc. I waited over a week to get it due to bank holidays etc.
You get it, as new, the same as me but shipped from within the UK for the slightly cheaper price of £21£17.99 posted to your door! With much faster delivery.

Good question, throw wise I would have to say yes, although I sold my M3x I’m guessing that would have beaten it.
Output wise (ceiling bounce) I hadn’t compared before but a quick check with only a 2400mah Trustfire flame cell gives me a (relative, can’t compare to my other measurements as not the same conditions) reading of 55.8 on my lightmeter compared to 56.5 on my BC40. I was actually surprised by how bright it proved as I think the BC40 is an overperformer (it reads as 948 lumens in my comparative tests). With a better cell, e.g. Xtar 2600, the Romisen may run even brighter.
I do have one other Hotrod light which is an original Lumapower MRV with the guts of a manafont P60 drop-in transplanted into it and run with an IMR for max amps. That read only 46 on the lightmeter but the IMR is at around 3.9v and pulling 3.2a, so would be brighter at full charge when it can pull around 4 amps.
Overall I would say that it’s output is right at the top end of the spectrum even with just a Trustfire 2400.
