What kind of flashlight you would like to be made?

Since variety is always welcome i would like a:

Dual 18650 single XM-L flashlight properly driven and heatsinked with a not massive not tiny head/reflector. 100% - 30% - 2 to 5% with memory no disco.

Perhaps made in a way to be dual 18650 side by side in series to make it more compact. Would not mind agressive fins for added heatsinking on it. Side switch, perhaps ramping and HA coating.

Like this?

But that one won't be even remotely budget.

I feel retarded! I saw it somewhere in BLF and liked it rightaway. Maybe this one made me want one like it.

I bet the price is downright prohibitive.

Even if it is out of my budget i would think it was a bit more expensive:

1) Flashlight with AKoray K-106 body, XP-G R5 LED, OP reflector, complete AA/14500 support, 3 mode (H M L) driver or even better an INFINITE output (ramp mode) driver. And for less or equal than 15 dollars

2) FLOODY flashlight with body similar to ultrafire C2, XM-L T6 driven at 3Amps, 3 mode driver (H M L) 2x18650 in series. Good heatsinking. Orange peel reflector. Less or equal than 20 dollars

And my imagination can give me multiple configurations.... but...........

If anyone wants to do a fenix promotion for the TK 35 im all ears! Offering a detailed review with a borrowed decent DSLR camera for a suitable arrangement. :P

3 Mode [ Hi - Med - Lo ] AAA or AA costing about $15 shipped with modes spaced out 100% 50% 10% [ would not be the end of the world if it had moon mode = 3% ]

Emitter Q5 and up [ Dont care if its XR-E XP-E or XP-G as its a pocket light , not a thrower ]

Oh , and to Chinese manufacturers [ heck - all of them ] No F'N junk modes , AAA and AA lights are pocket lights , not BIKE lights !

Not everyone in the western world likes strobe , some of us are intelligent [ reasonably ]

Is that hard to find?

Hmm... 2AA side by side with XP-G. Modes should be 100% (1000ma), 50%, 3% with mode memory with a slim Flood to throw option. May sound weird, but I have my reasons :). Btw, I can't think of any side by side compact 2AA lights out there to even mod...

Underwater Kinetics and Pelican make them I think. Both incandescents or antique LEDs, so will need modding from new. Both are also plastic bodied so forget high heat mods.

Thanks for the info Don. I actually had an old Underwater Kinetics incan that I used at work years ago. Anemic light output, but the form factor was perfect. Too bad they all got on the injection molded plastic bandwagon, otherwise I'd look at modding it.

I want a budget 200+ lumen 18650 flashlight with an on/off button and also a [+] button and a [-] button with no strobe or SOS. Everytime the [+] button is pressed, the flashlight becomes about 15% brighter, up to its max brightness. Everytime the [-] is pressed, the flashlight is 15% dimmer, down to it minimum brightness of about 20 lumens. If you hold the [+] or [-] button, it ramps up or down more quickly than just pressing the button. This would be nice, but at the lower end of brightness, it would take a lot of button pressing to increase/decrease brightness, so my idea is nowhere near perfect.

The skyline 2, but only 1 button. It has ramp mode driver

If they make one it should be called NintendoFire.

I also thought the price would be higher. I could buy one instantly if it were 30% cheaper. :)

What do I want ??

what i can't have ,,,isn't that the definition of wanting?

I'd like to see some bigger 6volt battery style lights but i see battery as the main limiting factor Li pop or a more stable higher voltage cell is needed for lights and auto . I think battery is the weak link here .

i want a 2 pound flashlight that listens and reacts to you it can also play music and display video on the wall or ceiling ,lights the room and it can be the phone and computer as well ..It can be as big as a small lunch pail .. I don't want much .

If it does make also coffee i want one too!

I'd like to have a compact triple XM-L light with triple 18650 side by side, designed similar to this thing.

Or 1*SST90 instead of 3*XML.

I'd really like to see a light with something like this as the body, so much better than a plastic holder.

That screwed into a head containing a few XM-L's would be rather impressive :)
