Good Inexpensive 1000 lumen flashlight?

I’m looking for a decent, inexpensive 1000 lumen (or brighter) flashlight. I’ve seen a number of various brands and vendors from China and would appreciate some suggestions from the experts.

I like that, looks to have a good heat dissipation, essential for performance and life of the led

less of 17$ with coupon RETAILMENOT10OFF
I advise you Dinodirect there are conflicting opinions, but in my experience they are good
…and probably no1 already have that flashlight maybe you will do a review? xD

on the other side KD’s C8 is well tested is a pro but also a bit boring on my eyes xD

That looks very nice. I was following another thread here about the TF-3T6 and it seems that when researching for one inexpensive bright light my search leads me to 4 others.

It’s so you know these flashlights are not actually 1000 lumens. At most they are around 800.

I should be leaning towards something like the TF-3T6 for 1000+ lumens then?

The XML led is used for most high powered led lights. And when driven hard you can only get max 850 lumens. So, just look at inexpensive single XML lights. You just have to narrow it down to length of reflector pretty much, whether you want a lot of throw or just flood.

TF-3T6 is a triple XML is 2/2,5 times brighter but the price is ~40$
If you want more of 1000 lumen u need a multiled indeed
monoled can in the best give 900 lumen

Unless you’re either match or using a sst-90. :stuck_out_tongue:

For about $60 you can get a 2000 lumin Sky Ray King. Thats the most light for the least cash I know of.

Actually Luminus SST-90 LED goes up to 2250 lumens. :Р

More like 500 once you bounce the beam around a reflector and out a lens… assuming the LED is actually properly driven.

For the brightness factor multi led would be fine. Something around the $30 price range give or take $10 bucks (if possible). That sst-90 looks sharp but way out of my price range.

not worth is way more expensive of a triple XML, give 2.2k lumen you r right but read the title… inexpensive

Ditto others… you’re not getting 1000 Lumens from a single XML. Its just not possible given the efficiency of this LED in its current build. Then when you factor in reflective and refractive losses you’re no where close to 1K OTF.

TR-3T6, SR king and TR-J12 will do around 2000 OTF. But they are smaller reflector designs that will flood more than they throw IMHO. These lights will easily do 1000L OTF, but will land you in the $40-65 range. So they are not exactly affordable IMHO.

There are some single SST50 and SST90 lights (TR-J10) for example in the $60-130 that should land you above 1000L. But their performance is largely undocumented on BLF, and these emitters are generally lack-luster performers when under-driven.

I think I’m going to go with the TR-3T6 3 cell version mentioned in post #12 of this thread https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/9430

The price is reasonable enough. Now I need to grab some inexpensive 26650 batteries and charger.

btw there are also single led of 100watt or more XML actually have the higher rate od watt/lumen and $/lumen

to back in topic the trustfire is 37$ with the coupon 大龙网_跨境电商B2B商机平台_移动端跨境贸易新体验
or the fryray (good chance of fry it xD) a bit less 大龙网_跨境电商B2B商机平台_移动端跨境贸易新体验

edit…
looking here Change again...Its it still tf-3t6 most light with budget prices are cheaper Page Not Found - Aliexpress.com
never tought so cheap
still gl xD

Thats an *18*650 light… 26650 cells will not work. That www site has a typo in the description.

Watch out for Shipping charges too. Is not uncommon for the cheapest advertised www sites charge an extra $10-25 for S/H.

Good catch on the battery type. I was going nuts trying to find a charger for the 26650 battery and figured I’d have to default to an 18650 light. The everbuying.com site claims free shipping and I’d get the batteries and charger there too. The TR-3T6 is advertised on amazon.com but it would cost more there and I’m wondering if paying a little more might reduce some of the shipping time hassles and I know amazon is good with returns.

If you want faster shipping Tmart is one place that has a pretty decent following here on BLF. They have a warehouse somewhere in the Eastern US, so if the have the item in stock then it usually ships much faster than over-seas sellers. The exception would be if they are out of stock and need to order from their supplier overseas.

IMHO it can be worth the extra $$ paying more for faster shipping, that does not have to pass through customs.

Heres the light you are looking for…
