Blue GITD 55mm O-Ring

Hi,

Where can I find 55mm (2.16”) blue GITD O-Ring ?

I want to custom my Kaidomain V6 (AAA) with something that’s glow in the dark (tritium is expensive)

Are you sure you have the size right? That sounds big for a AAA.

Here’s a 54mm GITD:

Here are some smaller ones.

You can always splice and glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue).

Probably a decimal error… 5.5mm

5.5mm is too small, AA batteries are 10mm in diameter.

I believe he is talking about this: “http://kaidomain.com/product/details.S007829” . “Length (7.75cm): Weight (28.5g) Head Diameter: (1.65cm)”. 1.65 cm = 0.6 in.

Thank you luvlites for the link

Kaidomain measures are wrong

the body diameter is 55mm, i guess 54mm o-ring will fit

Are you sure it’s 55mm? For size comparison, 55mm is length of an AA battery, or width of a credit card.

The light you are talking about is really 2.16 inches wide? Sure doesn’t look like it in the picture. I only found one KD V6 listed. Got a link to what you are talking about? Just curious.

Yeah, that number is way wrong. Get an actual measurement off the flashlight.

Oops ! Sorry

the CIRCUMFERENCE is 55mm

diameter is 1.6cm

2 x pi x 16mm / 2 = 50.3mm

my formula for circumference. i might be wrong though

That sounds more like it. 16mm/1.6cm (0.65 inches) is the diameter of a 16340 battery. My AAA MagLite Solitaire is 12.9mm (0.5 inches).

55/π results in 17.5mm diameter… so that doesn’t works out with his 1.6cm measurement either :S

how about a link to this light? thanks.

saypat - see post #4. I put the link there.

When I did mathematics (a long time ago) the formula for the circumference of a circle was pi x D (or pi x 2R).

So if circumference is 55, diameter = 55mm/pi = 17.5mm.

How many BLFers does it take to do a simple math problem. :stuck_out_tongue: Woody got it right.

Maybe, but of course the diameter of the torch probably won’t bear a close enough relation to the size of O Ring needed.

Circumference of the light or the o-ring?

55mm/pi = 17.5mm. The assortment from Shining Beam had 16mm and 18mm GITD rings, which you can always modify if need be.

international outdoors carries a 25 mm blue one that you can trim,i make custom ones but 2mm ring in a small light would probably be too big and finding tubing smaller than this has proved a pain.
