Could you take and post some pictures of the “guts” of the light ? It would be helpful to see the emitter and the circuit board of the driver.
My guess is that the led overheated and cooked itself or the driver board has a problem.
Try contacting the merchant to see if they will help you out as well.
Yeah, try and start a claim and get a new one, and although I haven’t seen this happen personally yet, they say not to run any cheapo brand light on high for too long.
Sounds like it might not have been properly seated to the heatsink. Or the heatsink was inadequate. Like Jaygnar said though, it could also be something wrong with the board.
