Please identify this light (yet another "what did I just buy"-thread)

Looks interesting. Supposed to be 2x18650 XM-L with 6cm head. (Well, yes, I read DD descriptions occasionally..)

Looks like FTT? New model, haven't seen it anywhere else.. Ordered.

Big ass FTT with large lens, XM-L, and nice looking ano!! Looking forward to what you think of it once you have it.

PS: It would appear to be an Ultrafire X2. :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice… flood-throw zoomies don’t really impress me that much. at 60mm though this one looks like its doing it the right way. 45-50K lux (little more for the stanley fatmax) is the $50 XML ceiling right now. If this one tops 50K I’m getting one!!!

Most XML 8.4V buck circuits only push 2.5-2.8A to the LED. Might make a nice candidate for an XRE aspheric mod. All depends on the lens geometry/quality and heatsink design though. Not going to want to push that much current (in either LED) without a well designed thermal path.

That ones only 48mm though… the OPs light says 60. (which could be a typo on the vendors part).

Thanks viffer750! That must be the same light.

Well driven, 1-2x18650, rubberized body, 48mm head, and interesting lens design. (and ringy flood - yuck)

Luckily I paid less than half of KD/MF price. Maybe it wasn't so bad buy after all. :)

I actually compared this light in a store in saigon to the Poppas 878 ftt, and the Poppas was visibly brighter. Probably still decent, although I purchased the latter…

You were right! It really was UF X2 - pictures changed after I ordered it.

CS contacted me and asked if I'm ok with the replacement and I obviously wasn't. They don't have the T8 in stock and don't know if/when they will receive it, so I ended up having a Fenix E05 as a replacement. That's not bad for $15.84 either. :)
