Will your lights go to a worthy subject , or will they be discarded/sold? My son will proudly take possession (anyone else could care less) of mine. Hope this is not overly macabre (if so I can DELETE HaHa).
I am with gcbryan here, flashlight technology is advancing by leaps and bounds every year, flashlights aren’t like your great grandmas armoire or daddys Winchester 30-30. Asking what will happen to your lights in 20 years is like asking who will take your 1973 120V AC powered calculator if you died today. Sure, they will still work but it is not like their won’t be better options.
Yes I agree, most of them will be hopelessly outdated and wouln’t worth much on ebay.
There might be some wanted collectors items, that still could be sold.
I hope that you are in health budynabuick ….but what gloomy thread! When I’ll die ….who cares of flashlights?
to don’t speak that LEDs are evolving like CPU
But if I can choice, full charge the lithium batteries, turn on all the flashlights up my coffin and burn me! …BOOOOOM xD
Since there is no ? mark in your post I”m not sure what you mean (you could mean money, food, hair, patience),but I”ll assume you mean “time”. If I knew that it would take all the fun outta gittin old.
Keith (who gits better with time statement not a ?)
Yes thank you, I am in perfect health. Except for several surgeries on my wrists in 97 I have not been to a doc in 45 years ( I was 25). Well, at the insistence of all my loved ones I just had a complete physical & the doc was amazed that I could be in such good health since I was not under a docs care (like that is the only to be healthy LOL). BTW, all tests came back A OK. The doc actually looked disappointed (kid you not). But then again, none of us are promised tomorrow.
What I am looking for is……….will there be anyone that will carry on your/our love of flashlights, not whether or not they will be out dated. My dad left me a 63 Buick that I do not consider out dated but rather a timeless classic. If this topic is uncomfortable for some, read the sports LOL.
Keith (who is watching the Olympic trials as I peck HarHar)
Hey Boaz I did request my wife put my PA40 in my box with me cause of the awesome run times LOL. But I think My son would say “he did not really mean that”! Will my solar charger work in the dark?
I’m blessed with sons (and a wife too, actually) who share those interests so at least some of my gear with be around after I’m gone. Might not even take that long as they like to R&R my gear as it is.
