I’m looking for an asperic lens that would fit a maglite. I could order from DX or KD, but don’t want to wait 3 weeks. If anyone has an extra, I’d be interested in buying it.

DX does not have them. They sold out and haven’t restocked yet, but they will gladly take your money and waste 2 months of your time. I know, I just went through that. I don’t have any other sources for them. I did find a couple places, but they were in the $75 range and I passed on that.
I have one that is 50mm x 35 or 37mm FL (Can’t remember) lemme see if I can remember the place where I got it or I could sell it to you if you like

If you got no luck let me know, I found the lens tucked away in my mods drawer, it has a very very small chip on the edge of the lens that does not interfere with focal ability, could send pics if you are interested
There’s also this. Don’t know anything about them, but I did buy some smaller ones from them. They shipped within three days of order. I am waiting for arrival from overseas. Then I will know what they are like.
I have only one word….OPTOLIFE.
MG maybe the best, but anything is better than DX,KD,Lightake or any Chinese seller on Ebay like Welparts selling the same junk cast glass lenses with a 1 in 4 reject rate. Yes I have gotten lucky a couple of times but have never gotten a bad lens from Optolife. Yes they cost more but AR coating is an option. I do recommend the aspherical 50mm A293 or A293MC AR coated as good to go. their other lenses are a GAMBLE. Write Raymond @ Optolife and ask.

- Surplus shed is out of stock and MG is a bit pricey. I don't have experience with the other place you mentioned.
- I also checked out Thorlabs, but again, too pricey.
- Optolife carries several 50mm lenses too. Price is $12 - $15, but I don't know the quality. The shipping is also killer ($7)

Willie - thanks for the recommendation. I was considering Optolife, but the shipping is nearly as much as the lens. Total cost would be ~ $24 shipped.
I agree that the price is high but I will be more than happy to send some of the junk lenses DX/KD etc has sent me.
