Nice light, I modded mine with a better driver, it is kind of throwy, wish they made one in HAIII

I like mine; it’s throwy and bright for a nice pocket-sized light. They make good gifts for non flashaholics since they are simple and reliable, have a forward clicky, run on a standard alkaline AA cell, and are brighter than most flashlights that non flashaholics are familiar with. Plus it mounts nicely on a shotgun tube using the DX rubber/velco bicycle light mount. I haven’t tried firing it yet though to see how it handles the recoil…

You are looking at the updated XP-G model. Mine is the original XR-E (unknown bin) emitter from FocalPrice. I have bought several; most were sold/gifted to others who I don’t trust with Li-ion cells…

Keepin’ the “B” in BLF

It sounds like the XM LEDs won’t really be suitable for flashlight use. Pity…

What better driver did you use exactly and could you post a link?

You cannot go wrong with a Shinning Beam Light .

My first led light! I have the original version. Very throwy and tough for a AA.

The driver draws ~2A on my non-shiningbeam sample so Ni-MH or Lithium Ultimate is recommended. Otherwise quite nice with a XP-G since the beam is a bit too focused w/ XR-E.
