Hi there, some old and new beamshots in the same place, old to new have only 2-3 meters difference. All done with the great help of this forum member gizmoduck.

-According to google maps the distance is 120 meters from our position to the tree, the rocks behind are 180-240 meters.

-There was some dust in the air, the pictures you see are as close as to what we were seeing.
-Camera settings: 0,6sec και F4,0 iso 800.
-Batteries, AW, Redilast and ex-cell(panasonic 3100mah with circuit). FOr ΤΚ60 and TK70, 4 Vapex D nimh 10,000 mah, 26650 4sevens&kingkong batteries

Thanks for posting your beam shots, do you have an UF HD2010 and if so how does it compare? I here it’s around 40k lux.

I will have soon a similar clone of it from ebay offer!

It is difficult, heating the led and then trying to cut the silicone, by pushing gently a lot of time at the dome. Does have a 5=% success rate!

thanks for the comparisions. where can i purchase that xeno f8v5?

from looking at the pics, the x100 seems to throw further and have more flood than the tk70. am i seeing this correctly??

I don’t understand something… the TrustFire X7 with 1000 OTF Lumen and normal lens hits 100KLux, and with 700 OTF Lumen (less current), but better lens hits 200KLux?

Once you dedome XML, you lose much spill but you get a much more concentrated spot, thus a double of lux but less OTF.

Great comparison! :smiley: Please tell us how you dedome XM-Ls (without killing the led :bigsmile: )

I dedomed a very warm tint XM-L that I didn’t like and it survived but the tint turned to an afternoon sky blue, a very blue tint, also noticed that the actual tint of the led resides in the edges of the dome, not in the center, that led in question produced a nice white in the center of the dome but on the edges of the dome it was very warm color, but when dedomed the whole led produced sky blue light and no warm tint anywhere, I think the dome has something to to do with the tint but not sure.

Haven’t tried to de-dome an XP-G not sure if its even possible

wo hoo..the X7 dedomed is impressive. little spill might be not to useful for daily task. but for hunting is definitely fun :)

catapult v2 also doing great. maybe the beam aim is little bit downward so the hotspot is on the road not really on the tree.
