The filters block 29% of the beam so that only 71% hits the LPM !
The number on the LPM must be multiplied by 1.41 for the actual power.

What did you get and from who? (seeing that you are in Virgina, USA). You read the FAQs and safety docs right?
I just paid for the 400mW 532nm from O-like, they are clearing it and i talked them into giving it to me at 185 bucks (don’t need the holster/charger/UF 18650). It’s 219 at Lazerer and even higher at rayfoss. These are somewhat true 400mW 532s as measured extensively at LPF…. not some 500mW for $58 stuff.
My $32 HJ-302 labelled as 300mW gets me about 60mW. 
I ordered a custom 300 mw inside a mini-maglite. Still working out the details though. And yes I did read through the safety docs along with order some glasses. :)
Sheesh, that should have costed you some $$$!
Yeah, but I am excited to get a decent laser. Up until now all of mine have been 50mw or less.
