Let's go Off-Topic once again: Recommendations for a kite!

Yes, a plain Kite for kids :D

I just bought an utterly C*** one for 10$. It does not fly, one stringed kite so there's not much of skill involved.

Build is all wrong, when wind blows it just "bends" and does not take altitude.

Body structure is also not even, it curves always to the right no matter multiple double tails it has. An they are long enough...

Once I was a kid, we flew one stringed basic kite just by tying it up to something to take a break. Anyone bought any good ones for their kids recently?

I noticed eBay has multiple options AND with acceptable intl. shipping.

I have this link for you ....

How about a picture of the kite?

When I was a kid those kites are all we had. There were a few box kites but I never had one.

I can’t image how one could not be made to fly however with the proper wind. You can change the degree to which the kite is “bowed” and therefore angle of attack and the center of gravity can be moved by experimenting with a tail.

Even if you end up buying a better kite it would be interesting to hear what you end up doing to make this one fly.

I loved kites as a kid.

Angle of attack is one thing for sure. Problem was I think this kite had not the "usual" cross-bar structure but more like a butterfly.

When getting wind, it did not shoot upward like regular kite does but the stricture bent and gave up = no altitude.

Also curved only to the right because of bad joints in structure, one side gave up easier than another.

IMO there was also too much "slack" in the material which wings had been made from.

From pic you see, there was IMO too much slack at tail also.

We used to fly kites even without those tails and this has a ton of them, still, no bonus.

Bought this:

Flies great!
Added maybe 200ft more line, still pulls up it all well.
