TR-3T6 glass O ring problem

Hi, I’m new to this forum. But I have this problem I recently purchased a TR-3T6 and was messing around with it. I purchased this from amazon.com and was checking if it’s legit and what not. It was all oiled up and very good quality.

Except it had a tiny spec of grey rubber covering 1/4 the size of the LED and sitting right on the LED. So I opened up the front? and surprised to see it was glass. Also popped out a oiled O ring between the glass & front lid? (not exact on the terminology here).

Anyways when relaxed it is exact 1 o-ring length too small. I mean it would fit if stretched, but I can’t seem to force it to stay on the ledge of the lid. Or if I do and screw the lid back on with the glass, the tightening action makes the O-ring visible on the reflector a bit, since it’s scrunched up.

If you don’t put the o-ring back it makes the glass move about making clicking sounds. Any ideas welcome. It came with 2 extra smaller o rings, but I don’t see myself using it since I don’t plan of submerging them in water or dropping them in lakes.

I had this problem with several flashlights, most anoying.

Just keep trying screwing the bezel until it stays put. YOu van also try to hold it in place with a screw-drier/sciizzors or something.

PS: If its possible, you can unscrew a pill a little, so it can be higher, if possible (and if no contact issues than), than lens maybe wont rattle without o-ring.

Also, you can try to put O ring on the other side of the lens.

I have had that happen a couple of times and I would say Ecig is definitely right. Just try and try again until you get it to stay in place.

I had that problem on my HD2010, although its not as severe sounding as your case. I just gently tightened the bezel, with part of the O-ring hanging out. I used the corner of my credit card and pushed the gasket in between the glass and bezel. Worked it around once-twice and got it seated, then tightened the bezel down.

This is how the design seals out water / moisture so you definitely don’t want to put the gasket on the inside of the glass. It needs to go on the outside to seal out water.
