the led used to be top of range most expensive one u can get before xml comes out . i think. but for that price if the host is rubbish that led is still worth it with good driver looks very close to l2m solarforce.
If someone receives this, pls take a close up photo of the driver.
Maybe the pic reveals to us if we can some other drivers with blinking modes can be changed to eliminate blinking mode. (some legs soldered or desoldered and something like that) 
I received a light (the light is not Superfire ® L2 but Superfire ® p50) but not a sst-50 but a xm-l, my disappointment!!
