Aliexpress has gone crazy with flashlight listings – about 25 pages of them. Most are repeats but there are a few excellent prices in there. Also, it seems likely that many of the sellers that are represented would be amenable to GROUPBUYS if we’re interested:
Please get back to me if the above link does not work for you and I’ll fix it. I think you’ll be amazed with the sheer quantity of ads in one place. I didn’t see much of the most desireable stuff like you’ll find at IO or Ric’s but you’ll see a whole hell of lot of DD and DX and lesser quality supplier goods – some of it many of us have bought (and enjoyed). Take a look!
Regards,
Bob
P.S. Aliexpress is having a “mega-sale” that includes a huge number of product categories with flashlights being just one. By the way, I didn’t even look for KNIVES so although I’ve been up for 24 hour I’ll try going back over the ads to look for that category as well.
Thank you for doing this for the forum. I’ve never ordered through aliexpress and havent payed attention to how its done and what protection you have as a buyer.
Can anyone direct me to a link or explain it here?
TY in advance.
aliexpress is like ebay. You can buy there and can give a feedback after the transaction.
Important: They don’t use Paypal anymore (they have their own system Alipay), and you have to use your credit card, Westren Union and some other paying methods. In the past I use my credit card.
Aliexpress is part of the Ali-Group (other part are Alipay, Alibaba.com [one of the biggest B2C bases of the world]. Alipay is a big paying system and have a bigger business volume as Paypal).
Thanks for the explanation guys. Appreciated.
@ garrybunk: Ooops! I forgot! I guess I got carried away by inserting photos and completely forgot. Sorry
And I’ll edit the post now.
It's a nice light. Feels pretty solid. The zoom is nice and stiff and doesn't move on me on it's own. My only complaint is with the battery contacts. They're kinda cheap and pull out of place easy - just be careful inserting/removing cells and they should be ok.
Have only bought 1 light via Ali so far . . like with ebay, Ali is not the seller so the seller rep is most important. I used their escrow service where Ali holds payment for a few days after you get your goods so that you can verify it is what you ordered and work out solution or start complaint. That feature helped me to give it a try. The seller I used worked with me on a battery problem so I released the escrow.
