Question about ONLY bulbs of P60 incandescent drop-ins

Hi guys!

I have purchased my FIRST incandescent P60 module… but I have a problem

It is a 9volt module, so it is designed for 3x 3v cells.

All my P60 host can hold only 1x18650(4,2v) or 2x16340 (8,4v)… insufficient for the 9v bulb.

I am not planing to run it with 2x rechargeable cells (2x4.2v = 8,4volt) but I am planning to use it with 2x non-rechargeable cells (2x3v = 6v)

Is there the chance to change ONLY the bulb inside the module instead of purchasing a complete module?

Where to find a 3,7v or 6v bulb if it can be possible?

Thanks guys!

I think the answer is no and in any event the price would be the same I’d think.

You can get incand drop-ins from DX for $8 or so anyway.

If I am not wrong, there are available to purchase bulbs for p60 modules, I have seen some in one chinese retailer (I dont remember exactly)

:~

DX sells several incan drop ins, anywhere from 3.6V to 7.2V (nominal), with various wattage specs on each. I have been using this one for 3-4 years now in either a SF-G2 or M2. They are like $2-3 each, including reflector.

but the bulb is not replaceable? Do you have to buy a complete assembly?

Yeah… but its only ~$2-3 for the entire assembly (springs + reflector) so its a moot point. Just throw away what you don’t want. The reflector and springs help protect the lamp during shipping/handling too so its better that they include it. IMHO

Thank you!!!

I am going to “see” what is available over there

Read the DX reviews and discussion forums carefully, there are reports of some of the reflectors not being an exact fit in some hosts.

good luck!!

ook, thanks for your help!
