Keygos C11

I just picked up this torch the other day, anyone out there tested this yet?

anyone have anything similar to model C11?

Do you already have it, or are you playing the waiting game?

Let us know what you think. I am very interested.

Thanks.

Playing the waiting game. I was hoping someone on BLF had this light to provide some feedback. I will definitely make a review with beam shots once received.

I don’t have one (yet), but I know there are a lot of people that think highly of the Keygos branded lights on here.

Will be very interesting to see how it performs.

Let us know.

I received mine a couple of days back. I don’t have a MM to be able to give you tailcap readings but I can give you my general take on the light.

First off, the light has a few knocks and scrapes on the finish, nothing major, just looks like it’s already seen a bit of service. Zoom seems smooth and is easy to operate with one hand; throw seems comparable to my Sipik SK68 on 14500 but with the larger die image as expected. Flood is huge - roughly 24”, measured 12” from the wall. Flood is fairly uniform, though there is a colour shift from the centre to the edge - quite blue through to a yellowy green periphery.

Output isn’t huge (Keygos K5 and KD C8 leave it for dead), though it doesn’t seem to care what it is fed - I’ve tried it with lithium primaries, NiMH and 18650 and they all look the same to me. One word of caution - the AAA battery cage has springs for the positive and negative sides, with a smaller spring for the positive. This makes it a very tight fit, particularly for the lithium primaries I tried, so much so that the positive spring deformed when I was putting in the batteries and cut through the plastic coating on the battery. I only noticed when one of the lithiums started to get very warm. Thankfully I hadn’t put the cage back in the torch.

Plastic lens and no o-ring, tailcap threads a little sloppy but fine when tightened up. No problem tailcap standing.

All in all, a nice light for its intended usage, sitting in the car with lithium primaries as an emergency light - wife is happy with it and it was a good price!

Thanks for the review. Who did you order it from?

Bit cheaper than when I bought as well!
