Just was searching ebay, and ran across these listings for IMR batteries. Seem to be generic but the seller seems to know a thing about lights and batteries and is in the US. Reasonable pricing as well. I’ve been looking through his reviews and it would appear that he just started offering these things in the past week or two as no buyers have given any feedback yet. I ordered one 14500 just to give it a shot. Maybe one of our battery gurus can order some and test them.
