Thought I Would Compare The EagleTac M3C4 Against The FandyFire STL-V6 At 350yds

I figured these would be pretty much neck and neck for throw. Let's see how they do. Now I know the EagleTac M3C4 cost a lot more vs the FandyFire STL-V6. But forget about the price. Any light that even comes close to the FandyFire STL-V6 is one heck of a thrower in my book. These were shot at 350yds on manual setting with a shutter speed of 1.5 sec, f/4 and ISO 400. I wanted to try the 1.5 sec shutter to see how it would do.

Mouseover for FandyFire STL-V6

I think the M3C4 takes it.

definitely: throw is more but a lot more useful spill as well

I agree. Hey and check this one out for grins comparing the Sunwayman T40CS head to head with the EagleTac M3C4. Now remember this M3C4 has the newest and latest updated driver from what EagleTac has told me.

Same settings as above

Mouseover Sunwayman T40CS

Looks to me the M3C4 updated driver beats the Sunwayman T40CS for throw.

I’ll add that this M3C4 has become my personal favorite flashlight. The beam is the best I have seen on any XM-L light that I have.

Heck this M3C4 might even give the Olight M3X a run and the Crelant 7G5. But it will be close. I’ll try posting a picture of the M3X and the Crelant 7G5 maybe tomorrow nite comparing them.

The Sunwayman T40CS with selfbuilts new figures is rated at 54,800 lux @1m. This M3C4 I have has got to be over that by quite a bit.

Eagletac will be announcing new big flashlights very soon, for LEO's, ..

I got the info but cant tell you more at this point of time, sollie.

Yea that’s what Christina told me.

I know one Christina from Olight.

WOW, What a difference that new ET makes. I would have never believed it, but I think they really did send you a hotter version. Congrats and great pictures!!!

rikr,

Here’s the message I just received from Christina about that very thought.

The M3C4 we sent to you is the current version of M3C4. It is the same as the M3C4 we are selling now.

Cheers!

Wow thats a beast for sure. Looks like more than 50-55K lux and a ton of close range flood too.

SkyRay King should beat it, shouldnt it? :)

Maybe you just got a good emitter? Like, the light can’t be plus or minus 5% from a certain point, and you got a plus 5% light one. And the rest are just regular ones? But, like many said, the beam is very useful because of all the spill, yet retaining more total light.

Read post #11.

This new EagleTac M3C4 might just be one of new best XM-L thrower out there for the money vs size.

We shall see if it will beat the Crelant 7G5 later maybe tonite.
