My Ultrfire C8 with XM-l gets REALLY hot after about 10 minutes so I wrapped the reflector with aluminum (Aluminium for you Brits…) as is prescribed for any P60 drop in for an Ultrafire 502 series… Am I wasting my time or is this pretty much standard???
That’s not _necessarily _a bad thing. LED’s get hot and at least there’s sufficient conduction here to get hot (rather than getting superheated inside). Use a lower mode if it bothers you.
Doing anything to the reflector doesn’t help, the heat comes out the back of the MBPCB and through the “pill” and body.
