I’ve been debating getting either a SkyRay King or a Trustfire TR-J12, so I thought I’d read over their reviews as I built my pro/con list, but I can’t seem to find a review here of any of the TR-J series. I checked Selfbuilt’s site too, and the flashlight wiki. Am I just not seeing what I’m looking for or has no body done a review on these lights?

Went on a night hike last weekend with the owners of sbflashlights and illumination supply. these guys brought along some HEAVY HITTERS… SR-95, TN31, X6 marauder. They were surprised at the J12 overall quality, output and thermal management for the $55 price point. I ran it in 3 cell mode all night, it got warm but never alarmingly hot. It was past midnight at the end of the hike and cells were depleted down to ~3.45V by the time I got home to meter them. I even dropped it once and put a ding in the tailcap. I did let them know I fried the +B spring, so its not without its flaws… we all chuckled and got a laugh out of that.
