Ok, I’m posting this on a mobile, so it won’t be a traditional format, more a log of what I bought and what I think.
It appears I ordered this light.

Following this thread :-

Mine is the same colour as biggies, and arrived in the standard bubble wrap envelope/white box/bubble wrap.
Externally it has no flaws, and even arrived with the milled “ W O L F” design on the tail cap.
It did however arrive unable to operate, and unfortunately arrived at the same time as my keygos m10.
The problem I had was that I slipped in an inr, tightened the tailcap and heard a crunch, at this point the lower tailcap o-ring was still visible. Needless to say, it would not switch on, it did flicker whilst tightening the tail cap, but was not “operational”.
Some investigation revealed this :-

Item one, the pill is an extremely poor fit in the head, loose threads is an understatement. Item two, to seat the pill against the reflector, the pill protrudes into the short battery tube. Item three, the tail cap goobin’s protrude too far into the tail cap, once ANY cell is slid in, it will not seat, so won’t light up, no matter how much you hit the magic button
As you can see, the complete tailcap was simply an interference fit, no soldering required to break it down into component form. It was also fitted with a brass plunger, plastic top hat guide, and both these items stuck out far to far into the battery area.
My plan of attack, after reflecting for a couple of days was to solder the tail switch assembly and negative spring, dispose of the plunger and top hat and see what happened. Today, I got chance to do this.

The brass retainer had to be filed to a lower profile, the hole was opened out with a 25mm (1 inch) counter sink to lessen the chance of shorts against both the spring and negative battery connection. The top hat and brass cap has been done away with. The pill and reflector were adjusted and now the light does at least strip/reassemble/operate correctly.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, considering the pill to head interface. It is underdriven at 2.3a on high.
Over all, I’m disappointed, it was very cheap, twelve dollars is less than a tenner in old money, but even with it able to be used, I’m not as happy with it as I am with the m10.
I don’t feel it’ll heat sink as well, so it can’t be too well driven and since I actually had to make it operate in the first place, I’m not sure how long it’ll last. I shall be taking it to work and seeing how it does, at this price, it’s an excellent beater, just not the jewel of my collection I had hoped for.
Anyway, I’ll add my other photos, and at the end of the day, if your handy with a file and a soldering gun, it can be made operational, I’m just not seeing a silk purse.
