I need help. I’ll keep it simple. I’ve spent hours, no, that’s a lie, weeks trying to track “it” down. I just don’t know what “it” is…
I need:
-Forward tail switch with momentary (must default to brightest on momentary/click on)
-Single 18650
-separate control for instant strobe (press = instant strobe).
-very little flood
Is klarus the only name in the game? I’m open to any brand.

theres a couple out there. and ive had almost every single one.
klarus xt11 is the updated xt10. its a good light. the only thing i found a little difficult was i wasnt always able to turn on the secondary switch (instant stobe) 100% of the time.
if i was to look down or actually feel for it, then yea, but i was testing this from pulling it out from my holster for a quick strobe for self defense purposes.
then theres the olight m20 series. if you want more throw and less flood, then get the olight m20s, with an xpg emitter. thats the one i been carrying for about 2 years now. the secondary switch is placed perfectly where you can turn it on with your index or thumb.
if you want something with more lumens, you can get the olight m21x with the xml emitter, doesnt throw as far as the m20s but its a bit brighter and more flood.
then theres the big brother. m30 triton. i find this to be way to big to carry around.
theres also the klarus xt20 which is bigger than the xt11 and brighter than the m30.
and jetbeam makes one too called the pc25.
between all these small ones, the klarus xt11 is the brightest. and i read that you can even stick 2 rcr 123’s and itll add another 1-200 lumens but for maybe 5 mins at a time. ive never tried this yet though.
saving the best for last. the thrunite tn11s is the brightest of them all. the cool thing about this one is that you can use 2x18650 or even 1x18650 to make it a shorter carry light and have the same output, but just with less run time.
ive tried carrying this as a edc, but its just a little bit too big, so i stuck with my olight m20s. but someone can easily use this as edc, not big at all. i keep this for my home self defense light.
Check out the superb XL-M U2 Fenix TK21. One of the finest lights I use and it has a forward switch as you like. If you demand highest quality, then you will appreciate this Fenix light.

I second this. Originally I would’ve suggested the 7G5V2, but it doesn’t have hidden strobe… just a normal forward clicky.

that smaller crelant looks like a swm t20cs…I love my t20cs BTW and would recommend it in a heartbeat…the amount of light that comes out of this little bugger when driven at 2a is insane…I have to put my 980l (driven at 4.6a) next to it to see the difference…the 980l is a tad brighter but not by much especially when driven at 2x the current…
You should also have a look at the Niwalker NWK550. It was torture tested on CPL (boiled, frozen, thrown about - the sort of things we normally do with our lights 
), and came out pretty well.
Only problem is finding a dealer!
and i thought i knew of them all!! i have not heard of that company nor that light. i am impressed. that is going in my to do list as soon as i find out where i can get one.

What’s with all the rings? The rings do not offer any better grip since the perimeter is smooth. I prefer the better look and better grip of a fine knurled surface.
For some strange reason I’m drawn to this light. I don’t have any real throwers. I’ve asked some UK dealers if they can get their hands on it, but haven’t had a great response.
It’s big brother, the NWK 750, has just been reviewed by Selfbuilt. It looks good too. What is particularly impressive is the fact that it runs on one 18650 cell pretty much as well as it does on two. Many of these two cell lights lose quite a bit of brightness when the extension tube isn’t used, but Niwalker seem to have got it pretty well spot on.
