Do I need a new charger?

I've had this charger ( Maha Powerex Smart Pulse Charger MH-C401FS ) for 5+ years:

Should this charger be adequate for current day use? If not, what would you recommend?

Thanks!

Looks like a good charger Don't know how much you've paid for this charger 5 years ago, but now it costs more than $40. Nice specs. Only one thing: 100 min charger. If it has option to charge slower, use it, I think batts degrade slower also

There is one Maha charger that is notorious as a battery cooker, but I can't remember which one it is. I think it is the 2Something.

Maha chargers are, in general, very good.

Seems to be a pretty decent charger to me. You may should avoid trickle charge LSD cells over any extended period of time after the main charging process is completed but apart from that I can't think of any reason why it should not be appropriate.

Why do you ask? Do you have issues with it?

Thanks guys, no issues, it’s just kind of old ( 5 yrs ) and wondered whether there were any recent technology advances in chargers that would justify a newer model.

If you ever do want to upgrade, the Maha Powerex MH-C9000 is the best NiMH battery charger that I know of. Just do a quick google on it and you'll see what I'm talking about. I have 2 of them myself and am thinking about getting a third. Good luck.
