Battery spacers

Hi.

Looking for two answers, well ok I’ve got 2 questions that both need answers

The easy one first:

1. Where can I get a spacer for a 14500? So as I can run a 1 x 14500 in a 2 x AA body? I thought this would be easy, but Googling AA battery spacer or 14500 spacer hasn’t yielded much.

2. What’s a good way of making a custom battery spacer? For example if you have a 2 x AA body tube, but plan to run a 1 x 14670 then you’ll need something to fill the gap. What would be a good way of doing this?

Thank you.

1. You can buy them at lighthound. I'm on my phone so I can't link.

2. You will need some aluminutodos. First cut to length. Then wrap in electrical tape until it is the right diameter.

AW AA battery spacer at lighthound.

Thank you

found them on lighthound http://www.lighthound.com/Spacers_c_218.html Not been on their site before. Lots of good stuff, thanks.

BTW what is “aluminutodos”? Google doesn’t bring back anything (presume it’s a phone typo/auto-correction??)

I think user Old Lumens had a write up on here where he made some from copper and a nylon rod. I just solder two nails together with the heads out and wrap in some paper and electrical tape. Of course I’m more comfortable with ghetto solutions than most.

Aluminium rod. Sorry.
