Not your typical "everyday" (unless you're with security/enforcement)

I stumbled across BLF a few days ago when looking to replace a roughly four year-old, ‘first generation’ Cabela’s 3 watt/2xAA LED… just doesn’t want to put out much light anymore (like only half) regardless of batteries and, given the economy, I’m definitely on a budget (if anyone’s got a cheap fix, let me know).

Anyways, after seeing all of the various purchases members made from various sites – ebay, amazon, dealextreme, etc. – and the cheap prices, I decided to look directly on Taobao (the ‘Chinese’ ebay: I’ve bought some domestically unavailable electronic parts there previously through a buyer’s agent) to see if I could beat the aforementioned deals.

Well, bad news is that using the agent to purchase many of the commonly available flashlights seems to be more expensive, so that’s out. However, I did come across this interesting, ‘multipurpose’ (according to the box’s picture) flashlight: I thought some of the members might get a kick out of it.

Welcome to BLF! If you do order that make sure to get a good battery and charger to go with it. The battery that comes with it is not very good.

but then it dawned on me that it’s most likely not very legal here in California.

G’day mate. Likewise, I doubt it would get through customs here, shame cause there are a few heads around that need aligning Wink

Thats cooler looking than what I’ve been bidding on.
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=110946822591&globalID=EBAY-US

They’ve been goin for $31 dollars usually but I don’t want to risk more than $20 that it won’t make it through customs

I’m glad I’m not the only flashlight collector out there, I was beginning to think I was strange.

or ‘multipurpose’ as they call it … Wink

I would look at the more common lights, like C8, HD2010, WF502b etc. I think the quality of this light isn’t good enough to make use of the different purposes.

Thanks for those links: I did a search, but I guess my search terms didn’t do the trick.

It’s your money, use the seller you like. Smile I’ve seen this on either dx or Dinodirect too
