First flashlights - Jetbeam PA40 and RRT2

I’ve researched a bunch of lights and am about to pull the trigger on the Jetbeam PA40 and RRT2 both XML. I’ve read a bunch of reviews and all seem positive. Are there others that I should consider that are the same type of light/output/price/etc? Just getting into this LED light thing and although I don’t NEED them, I WANT them. Thanks in advance.

The PA40 is my favourite flashlight, you cant go wrong with it.

Welcome to BLF! You'll love being here! :)

Both of those are good lights, and if you buy them from Illumination Supply's super clearance, you'll get them at very reasonable rate. (I just pulled the trigger on PA40)

As I prefer neural white lights, it's a bit unfortunate that PA40w (NW) isn't included in the clearance.

That’s where I plan to order from as pricing seems to be good. I have about $100 burning a hole in my pocket so why not spend it on lights!!!? Still trying to decide if these two fit the bill which I think they will but there are too many choices out there.

Read the selfbuilt reviews on them. Google the light name plus self built review. He is a great reviewer and believe he covers those lights.

I just ordered the rrt21 . It was a battle between that one and the rrt2. I may have to order both lol

PA40NW owner here. Great light, I’d definitively recommend it as “every bag carry”, bit too big for EDC though.
RRT-2 might be quite good for EDC duty though, but I can’t say for sure - never had one.

The PA40 is too big to be EDC , but as far as anything else goes … Home - Car - Garage - Boat - Camp light etc , its ability to run AA , several decent modes …

Looks to be built tough , so for Emergency work …

+ Those AA batteries do away with Li-ion worries …

And the carry case offers a lot of protection if you stored the light in a vehicle [ car boat camper ]

One does like the PA40 , even if its not budget !

Welcome to the cool kids' club, swimman!

Welcome swimman.

Oh no......he's hooked!

What do you mean you don’t need them? :stuck_out_tongue: G’day mate.
