professionals favorite 20 million

I have a professionals favorite 20 million candle power flashlight.
I havent use the flashlight in about 4 years and was wondering if it shuts off when it’s done charging or do I have to unplug it before the battery get over charged and causes damage.
I also don’t remember what the factory charger looks like but I am using to 1 amp charger right now.
today upgraded the battery to 8000mah/8ah.
if someone else has is flashlight please let me know what to do with this I keep it checked with multimeter. And when it gets to about 12.5 to 12.6 I shut it off.
Thanks

Ps. it’s the flashlight my avatar

I can't answer your question since I don't have a similar light but I can welcome you to BLF. Happy to have you with us!

I honestly can't imagine it not shutting off on its own once charge is complete but if no one else can answer for sure, then I would recommend you let it go longer and just monitor to see if if stops charging on its own. If it continues past rated capacity then do what you've been doing and pull the plug once it hits voltage..

My instruction book on mine says to not overcharge past 10-12hrs I believe that is right. It will overcharge the battery after that.

Welcome to BLF Antmansrt.

Thanks to everyone. i hope it shuts off cause putting a multimeter on the battery everyday and charging is getting annoying. Lol

Is it a SLA battery? I assume so but if not ignore, the battery should prob be charged to around 14v when on the charger, once removed I’d expect it to stay above 13v open circuit. Can you not look at the battery and see what it says, they usually have Vpc for max charge and min discharge?

6fm7(12v7ah/20hr)
Standby use 13.50-13.80v
Cycle use 14.40-15.00v
Initial current less than 2.1a

Ideal, charge to 14.4v then terminate (this will prob be at 20degressC). The lower voltage is for float charging.

My old battery got warm after 7hrs at 12v 1amp.
I just dont want to destroy this battery.
Anyone know where i can get a 14v charger?

You don't need one. SLA batteries are like Lions because they have a nominal voltage and then the voltage rises when it is fully charged.

Yes 12v is the nominal rating, a 12v charger will take it to 14.4, just monitor it doesn’t go too far. 1 amp is close enough, most rate at the C10 rating which is Ah divided by 10, so a 8000mAh charges at 800mA (0.8A)

So i found the manual today and its a 17.5million candle power professionals favorite.
will this flashlight shut off when it’s done charging? Or am i going need to unplug it
