That depends on the light. Some lights need very high current (i.e. IMR cells), other needs as high cell voltage as possible (Look at 2600mAh batteries) and most multi battery lights does not really care.
the TN31 is quite high end, and the LED is driven to the limits, you will definitely need some high mA output batteries for it to work well, like 2900mAh or above. like bose said good batteries, cheap ones cannot deliver enough current to power them, so it flickers/steps down. i know a rough idea of how lithium ions work, but HKJ and otheres here will explain it much better
It will give maximum brightness with just about any 18650 battery. If you want maximum runtime you have to get the batteries with most mAh (A xxxFire with 5000mAh does not work). Check my battery tests to see what batteries has the most mAh.
EDIT: If you suspect your batteries are faulty, try investing in these. They’re at a great price, plus they’re highly recommended by a lot of BLFers.

Hi rexdog, I personally haven’t bought from bestvaping myself but I bought 10 of them from aliexpress. I think some people have bought from bestvaping before but I can’t say myself how their service is.
Shipping should be fine though, I don’t recall them ever not shipping to Oz though.
