I have to say that if I sound like I am whining, or looking for attention, that is NOT the reason. If you think it is, then I probably didn't express myself correctly in the statements below.
If anyone who has bought a light from me, is not satisfied and feels they were screwed, rooked, taken in, or otherwise duped, send me the light and I will refund the original purchase price. This is good for any lights I have done since I came to BLF, up until the current lights, but not for future lights. Future lights will have a disclaimer.
One time offer, good for a week, so hurry...
There is one statement that sums it up. "Lack of Reliability".
They are basically glorified shelf queens, not daily drivers. "All show and no go".
Enough said, no replies needed. This is just a public announcement.
Still loving my Blues Bros. i’m running the stubby on 18650. Not much run time on high, but that was not why I bought’em. Run the AA on one 14500. I ordered a 10440 for the AAA. I can’t you getting any comebacks.
It’s called stippling. I call it orange peel. It is Krylon Clear Acrylic Gloss paint. I hold the reflector in one hand (at arm’s length, facing the reflector to me) and I hold the can so that it’s about even with my body (bent arm, facing the reflector). I spray light bursts at the reflector, till it is covered evenly with what looks like rough dots (fine mist) all over the reflector. You would need something to expirement on. Something reflective, possibly old reflectors, till you get the pattern down. When it’s done, the whole reflector is just covered with this rough coating that looks like millinos of dots of clear paint. The more even the coating, the better the beam.
Some people just don’t respect tools or care to learn how to get the most from them. Too much stuff bought at Walmart and thrown away the next year. I’m a bit of a hypocrit in this as some things I treat poorly and others I treat very well. I don’t think an OL original would end up on the first list though.
