While waiting for the BLF mini to arrive, I’ve been spending too much time browsing on taobao and came across these:

"HolyFire" is one of the names we came up with a good while back in the thread where we came up with crazy names we'd like to see used. I wonder if they were inspired by us?

I'm sure they were, JohnnyMac, but still no sign of the Sh!tFire, CampFire or PantsOnFire lights out there.

My nephew actually has one of these! He ordered something from Dino, and they didn’t send him what he ordered. Not sure what light he ordered, but it was a multiple xml. Anyway, what they sent him was the UranusFire which made me laugh and two crappy batteries and an even crappier charger.

Thanks JohhnyMac. I also found one via go2tao. US $6.93, but once you factor in the agent fees, domestic and international shipping, it ends up being well over $10. Not entirely sure the novelty is worth double the price of one of the more common clones, which are a known quantity too.

Then again, maybe it is. Still, I would like to see if I can find a cheaper one.

Anyway that M4 you want is down a ways on the page but - YIKES - they’re asking 100 yuan (about 15 dollars), and that’s before the agent fee and shipping! Obviously this one’s not a “Budgetfire”…

AND… thank you for the great photo of that Ultrashine! (what was the purchase source?)

Wouldn’t mind a HellFire either. Some folks might feel compelled to sign a cross in the presence of such, but I feel it would complete the collection.

Where can I get that c8 HolyFire? Half the reason I bought my UltraOk was for the name.

Yeah, I used to think all these xxxxFire names were just lame, but I’ve developed a fondness for them these days, partly because of the comical value. Now, I’m almost ashamed to say, I feel an urge to collect the whole set!
