Need help with where to get light I want

Ok…So I want a Solarforce L2P HAIII in blue with an XM-L 3 mode (not sure if memory is important or not)…is there somewhere I can buy this thing already put together?…not that its hard to do or anything but it seems you get a little price break buying as a whole unit…

Your best bet is Solarforce sales. They have been offering a lot of combo deals lately with various hosts and choice of the new U2 XM-L 1, 3 or 5 mode drop-in included. I see where they have the Blue L2P with a 1 mode here, cost is $41.99 total. My suggestion is to email Jo at sales@solarforce-sales.com and see if they will substitute a 3 mode drop-in. They have great customer service, I bet they will accomodate you.

yeah…here is what I want but just want it in the blue color…its $31.99…I would order it today if I could have it in blue or even the gun metal grey…black is just boring…lol…and the 3 mode will come in handy at cubscout camp where you don’t need alot of light…but then when I jump off into the swamp to duck hunt I can light up the world looking for snakes and gators…

You can always ask if you can substitute a Gray one, but it will probably cost a few bucks more. Have you looked at the new one? Offered in Gray with drop-in.

Hey on that L2N (or L2P)…do those take 2 18650’s? and should I use 2600 or the 2400 protected?…was thinking of just ordering everything from them at once so it all comes together…

They only use 1, but with an extension tube you can use 2.

Either host takes a single 18650. I have several SF 2400 batteries and they are good ones. If I were buying now though, I'd get the 2600's and at $14.50 for 2, it's a good price. I don't know about the charger, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy the set you linked if you are looking for all in one.

This particular L2N does take 1 and 2 18650s with an extension tube, however you have to look at the drop in voltage and see if it can actually handle it. The L2N combo in the link goes from 3.7-9V, meaning it can take up to 2 18650s. There are some drop ins however, which only go from 3.7-4.3V meaning it can only take 1 18650.

Well I started looking a volt meters and think I have decided to ditch the 18650 route…the cost is too much for the flashlight gained…I do have a question though…I was looking at two lights by Klarus…are RCR123A’s just as tricky to recharge as the 18650’s…meaning do they have to be watched as close to keep them from venting or overcharging then metered when they come off the charger to verify?…it looks to be about the same on battery cost for AA or CR123A so I would think if nothing else get the XT2C version and enjoy the extra output no matter if RCR or just CR…it also allows the upgrade to 18650 if I decide to go that route later on…thoughts?
