5-15V 15A PSU - probably not worth it for people outside the UK as these things tend to be heavy.

May be of interest to someone out there.

Presumably this would be a good power supply for a number of hobby chargers?

Tempted

Exactly what I was thinking. Some hobby chargers want up to 18V in order to charge more lithium cells in series, but this is not an issue for torch use.

Check Maplin for the equivalent and wince. Ninety quid and half the output.

Oddly enough I immediately had a look at the offerings on Maplin when I read your first post, and took a sharp intake of breath.

Generally good prices on the Mindsets site - thanks for the link.

I modded a 130A 13.8v server Power supply for all my charging needs, costed me less than $30 to do.

I'm tempted even with the shipping but the fact that it only goes down to 5 volts makes it not worth it. :(

some server power supplies have 3, 5, 12v power connectors

What voltage do the popular hobby chargers run off?

Here is a pic of my dell server power supply

usually 12 to 18v, but there are some that run higher voltage

Here are the instructions on how to convert different server power supplies for hobby use, it’s a very long thread! this is where I got the idea to make one.

Enjoy!

I modded a standard PC power supply myself. Only puts out 18A on the 12v rail, but it’s served my needs for a few years now.

Ah, thanks. Think I need to learn to walk before I run
