2xaa - 2 li-ion driver, is there such a thing?

Is there a driver that can go from 2xaa batteries to 2 li-ion batteries? I know thats a big voltage difference, but it would be convenient for a flashlight build I’m doing. If not, I could use one that would work with one lithium and use a dummy cell. Thanks.

2AA requires a boost driver. 2 X 14500 requires a buck driver. What you need is a 14mm diameter boost/buck driver. I don’t know if such a thing exists. The closest I could find is the Sandwich Shop GD driver which is a buck/boost driver, but, is only rated to 5.5V, not close enough to the 8.4V you’ll need to run 2 X 14500, but, should be fine for a single 14500 with a spacer.

Alternatively, if you use a Sandwich Shop Son Of Buck (SOB) driver with a low Vf emitter it’ll run full power on 2 X 14500, but, will be pretty much direct-drive on 2AA.

I didn’t think there was one. I will just have to live with one 14500.
