Red Bull Stratos is a mission to the edge of space that will try to surpass human limits that have existed for more than 50 years. Supported by a team of experts, Felix Baumgartner will undertake a stratospheric balloon flight to more than 120,000 feet / 36,576 meters and make a record-breaking freefall jump in the attempt to become the first man to break the speed of sound in freefall (an estimated 690 miles / 1,110 kilometers per hour), while delivering valuable data for medical and scientific advancement.
I dont know where Mr. Baumgratner is coming from, but Mr. Baumgartner was born in Salzburg, Austria. And yes, whatever he's speaking (certainly not German, but pretty similar) sounds good. :P
I didn’t know that Schwarze meant black, but I had my suspicions about the rest of Arnold’s last name. And I don’t know about in German, but the n-word is pretty offensive in English. kreisler, you might want to censor yourself a little.

Even though the source of all these languages is the same, they are pretty different. Ever tried talking to someone really old from Bavaria, Switzerland or Austria? They even subtitle those people on their own TV stations!

Felix Baumgartner has a pair, but the current record is held by Joseph Kittinger and made his jump at 102,800 feet (31,300 m). Mr Kittinger is, the man, and is helping with the current record attempt.
Joseph William Kittinger II (born July 27, 1928) is a former command pilot, career military officer and retired Colonel in the United States Air Force. He is most famous for his participation in Project Manhigh and Project Excelsior, holding the records for having the highest, fastest and longest skydive, from a height greater than 31 kilometres (19 mi) and for being the first man to make a solo crossing of the Atlantic Ocean in a gas balloon. Serving as a fighter pilot during the Vietnam War, he achieved an aerial kill of a North Vietnamese jet fighter and was later shot down himself, spending 11 months as a prisoner of war in a North Vietnamese prison.
