Does anyone know of a better Eneloop AA deal than this?

Ive been using this listing for about a year to buy eneloop AA’s 2000mAH. They are legit, real Eneloops with the crown on them. Comes out to about 2.49 per battery. Anyone know of a better deal than this, that they can verify are not knock-offs? looking to buy another round.

Costco carries a 10 pack for about $20 if I remember correctly.

10 ea to a bubble pak dealie including 2/4-cell batt storage cases, 1900mAh, $19.99 or $1.99 ea.

(1900mAh = minimum capacity & what it sez on the batt label itself. 2000mAh = typical)

When I searched the Costco website a couple of days ago I received a message that eneloop had been discontinued.

Searching for another source I found B&H Photo has an 8 pack of eneloop 2000ma for $19.10 with free shipping. They also have a 4 pack of eneloop XX 2500ma for $17.40 with free shipping. I’ve been trying to decide if the higher capacity batteries are worth the extra money. Anyone using the 2500 XX’s?

Costco still stocks them, I was there recently getting some more. :D

I traded up most of my AA eneloops for XX’s, actually. I find that the increased capacity is well worth a cut in the battery lifetime for most things I do.

Then again, I only pay about $12.50 for a 4 pack around here, vs. $10 for standard eneloops, so it’s an easy choice. (local source, no shipping, sorry)

Using XX’es in my PA40, but only because I got 4-pack of them for price of 4-pack of normal Eneloops - would never get them if they were almost 2x the price.

Both CONUS only. No good Eneloops deals for EU, apparently. :frowning:

Boaz taught me that Japanese Duraloops on eBay is where it’s at!

Warning: You need to ask every seller if they are selling white tops or black tops. The white tops are made in Japan. The black tops are made in China, and are inferior to the white tops. Here's an image that clearly shows the difference:

I have found this to be a reliable seller:

(not as cheap but cheapest I can find, fast shipping in EU)

I’m using that seller (and sometimes also voelkner | Elektronik, Technik, Werkzeug & mehr ), but prices are still not comparable to what lucky US guys are getting. :frowning:

I think all the newer Duracells are white tops and made in japan ...But i can only assume they are Sanyo ...Probably good guess but someone would have to do some testing. They now say "stay charged "not pre-charged .

I was in a Costco less than a week ago and they had the eneloops. I would not trust any eBay seller for these when Costco has them.

Dchomak thanks for the product number. I am visiting my daughters so I called the local Costco and gave them the product number. They have 110 in stock. Problem is, I’m not a Costco member and you can’t buy without a membership. (I thought they used to let you buy a i day membership and pay a premium.) There isn’t a Costco within 50 miles of where I live so a $55 membership to buy batteries while I’m here isn’t worthwhile.

Reminds me of the days when I used to get my dad's Costco card with the photo nearly warn off and just flash the card quickly to get in and then pay cash for what I purchased. (He's 30 years older than me.) I see no need for a Costco membership. I also had a very bad experience with them over warranty service on tires and have never stepped foot back into a Costco again.

Thanks Boaz for the links to those duracells, so Japanese Duracells are as good as Eneloops? Ive tried just about every nimh you can think of. My buddy did some huge test where he bought hundreds of batteries and tested them all (but it was years ago). Ive just found Eneloops are no hassle the best NiMH along with GP Recyko’s. Ill give the white top duracells a shot. thanks for the heads up!

Wish there was a costco nearby… The closest Costco to Tulsa is 200 miles away in Kansas or Texas. Costco is out of the question for me unfortunately. I guess you have to have a memebership as well, kind of like “Sams Club” that we have here in Oklahoma.

The Energizer 2300 green tops "made in Japan" seem to be quite good too (must be 2300!). They are available around here at Walmart and Lowes - about $11 for 4. Oh, and the Duracell are considered to actually be Eneloops re-branded by Duracell.

I’ve always bought my eneloops from this seller and never had any problems…Seems legit ones…

dchomak, why, OH WHY DID YOU HAVE TO POST THAT PICTURE  ?!
There are many non-US members around here :D!
