Input needed on dimmer switches for household lighting - Making a desktop lamp.

I have this little work bench (aka kitchen table) and the light comes from behind me and isn’t very bright.

I would like to have a mains powered light instead of trying to hold a flashlight in 1 hand all the time when working on small things.

At the moment this is my plan.

Some lamp similar to this, or cheaper if I can find something.

This bulb

And I am not sure what to do about a dimmer switch.

I have found these crappy type from Ikea

And another crappy type from eBay here

I really wanted something small that could be located on the lamp itself but all the smaller ones seem to say 12 volts, and I need it to handle 220-250v

Any ideas?

Maybe something like this

This is the desk lamp mod that I did: Nichia 219 Desk Lamp Retrofit

and the lighted shop magnifier: Waldmann Omnivue Lighted Magnifier Nichia 219 Retrofit

Both run off of wall wart DC supplies and are dimmable.
