How do we get batteries shipped from HK?

I have ordered some batteries and the store just emailed me saying they had the order returned because HK post will not ship batteries.

What is the best way to get the batteries shipped?

I want my Efest 18650 3400s. :frowning:

DHL might still carry them, at a price. I’m going to wait until the middle/end of next month, when the rules are likely to be relaxed (according to Jone).

Thats odd, must be new? I’ve never had trouble before.

Singapore post apparently doesn’t have this restriction (yet) so anyone who can ship out of Singapore is an option.

The story told to me is that both HK post & China post are tightening up (the regulations do say they won’t carry li-ions, but these have just been ignored in the past), because of an upcoming Governmental meeting in China next month. that’s where the new government & president will be anointed for the next decade.

Now, why that should stop the postal service carrying batteries, is beyond me.

He should have them in button-top and flat-top soon too. A little more expensive, but they’re local, and going by the quality of his 3100’s, they’re bound to be good.

EDIT: Just noticed this comment in the listing “This is the Nipple Top version. Other version usually in stock and available on request at the same price”. So it looks like he can already supply them in button/flat top as well.

The Efest 18650 3400 mah are only $8 each (plus delivery). They may not be the best quality, but they are cheap quality.

Bit the bullet and paid for DHL delivery. Also had some Soshine AAAs in the order I needed for my EDC.

I must commend Jones from Efest though, for getting an invoice and processing my order so quick with WLM chat.
