Well, to be fair he could have bid $8,000 because all it displays is the bid increment above your max bid. We won’t know his max bid. He was just holding his first bid until the very end.
It’s a fantastic light but there will be more to be had from this forum, and possibly another group buy from Erik again 8)

Maybe not profit. But it would/will be nice to know a light retains some value. Normally when I buy a light, I consider it a loss unless I get decent use or enjoyment out of it.
