6x Cree Q5

Is this light really 1600 lumens? http://cgi.ebay.com/T6-1600-Lumens-6x-CREE-Q5-LED-Torch-Flashlight-Holster-/300529612104?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item45f8f5f548

What would the actual lumens be?

well if properly driven with perfect efficiency AND truely q5's, the math would be just under 1200 lumens (6 x 200 lumens)

The Romisen RC-T6 is variously advertised as having Q3's, Q4's 0r Q5's and putting out anything from 500 to 1500 lumens.

Review (Jayki) http://www.jayki.com/flashlight_review_board/1038

Also worth to mention that 2 18650 would need to deliver 3A each presumed the driver is very efficient. The runtime on max would be comparable to a single 18650 with an XM-L well driven but providing around "only" 3/4 of those lumens.

You must/should have a reason to get a flashlight like that nowadays. Are you perhaps after throw?

I guess I'm after some lights for throw and some for flood. I was actually looking around on eBay after I looked up the LED conversion head for my Maglite. An ad came up at the bottom of the page that said "Look what other people are watching" or something to that effect. There were about 5 flashlights so I clicked on one. Then I did a search for "Cree."

Tas62, quite a bit of difference in the 2 claims huh? Thanks for the link to the review - that answered everything!

My Romisen T6 pulls out about ~500lm. As much as an XM-L driven @ 3A ;)

I agree with the point of 1200 lumens

I would say more along the lines of 600 lumens. I used to argue this fact thinking it was brighter, but I can tell you I have a M3X, T40CS, 7G5, Catapult V3, TK41 and SR51 that are a lot brighter.

Mine measures at just shy of 700 lumens (674) - exactly the same as my ROP high.
