Charging

Lithium rechargeable, when is the correct time to charge ? Only when exhausted or can you charge partially discharged ?

Partially is also fine. In fact, its better. I usually measure my cells once a week and before/after longer runs.

Thanks , I have never been 100% sure how best to look after rechargeable batteries , some say never recharge until almost exhausted but that could be from the memory problems with NiCd ’s.
So is it best to top up Li-ion after each use ?

Yup, might be from NiCd or NiMH times.. but LiIons handle that perfectly. You can top them up after every use, just dont wait until the voltage has dropped below ~3.6V because they are nearly empty by then.

I hope you have a DMM, some good cells and a good charger?

I have an Olight SR95 , I got it for night time long exposure landscape photography and the ” painting with light” technique.

It has just the charger supplied but Im not sure if the light has battery protection reverse polarity .
